Cabbage Soup Diet Negative Calorie Foods | Negative Calorie Foods Diet | Negative Calorie Foods

The Famous Cabbage Soup Diet Thrives on Negative Calorie Foods

The negative calorie foods diet has gotten a lot of flak, as has the concept of negative calorie foods. Bash the marketing all you want, but the end all be all questions should be whether or not this diet causes you to lose weight. And the answer with this diet is a resounding yes. Even better, the ability to eat however much you want, as long as it's from a certain group of foods, which helps for those of us who have big appetites, and whose bodies throw absolute fits at 1,400 calories.

What is amazing to me, is that many will bash negative calorie foods, but then they admit that diets like the famous cabbage soup diet thrive on negative calorie foods. Now with that being said, the cabbage soup diet is not based solely and completely on negative calorie foods, but a huge amount of the weight loss from this diet does come from negative calorie foods.

The cabbage soup diet is a seven day diet that is repeated as often as needed until you lose all the weight you need. The use of negative calorie foods throughout this diet is huge.

Cabbage Soup Diet Soup Recipe Ingredients:

  • 6 large green onions
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
  • 1 bunch celery
  • 1/2 head cabbage
  • 1 package Lipton soup mix
  • 1 or 2 cubes bouillon (optional)
  • 1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)
Season to taste with as much salt, pepper, parsley, garlic powder, cayenne pepper as you want

Green onions, garlic, green pepper, tomatoes, carrotts, celery, and cabbage are all negative calorie foods. Mushrooms are known for having very few calories, and veggie juice is never going to add the pounds. This is the reason you can always eat as much of the soup as you want: because most of the food in it will require you to burn more calories than you take in.

Day 1 of the cabbage soup diet allows you to eat as much fruit (minus bananas) as you want and as much soup as you want. Many fruits are negative calorie foods, so people who love oranges, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, or kiwi are going to keep eating negative calorie foods.

Day 2 allows for as much cabbage soup as you want with any veggies, minus potatoes. This also means a good portion of food choices will be negative calorie foods.

This means at this point there are two days full of negative calorie foods, and the soup that you can eat an unlimited amount of every single day also are negative calorie foods. While the cabbage soup diet does work off higher metabolisms, and caloric cycling, without the negative calorie foods, this doesn't work.

For the cabbage soup diet to work, they must have negative calorie foods as a crux, which is all the more proof that a negative calorie foods diet can work.
