Negative Foods | Negative Calorie Fruits | Negative Calorie Foods Diet

Negative Foods: Negative Calorie Fruits

Our last post was on negative calorie soup, and while that is a good topic, it only begins to scratch the surface of the many foods that make up the negative calorie foods diet. Aside from the great diet soup that can be made from taking advantage of negative calorie foods, there are also plenty of negative calorie vegetables and negative calorie fruits that can be used to really help jump start your diet plan.

Most people are in some way familiar with some of the vegetables that make up the negative calorie foods list. Lettuce, spinach, cabbage, tomatoes (I know they're technically a fruit but tomatoes are always associated more with veggies so here they stay) , bell peppers, garlic, celery, carrots and other veggies. These are commonly referred to in the negative calorie diet, and for good reason since these are the negative calorie vegetables.

But while people are obsessed with particular vegetables for their negative caloric values, let's not overlook fruits. Negative foods have a large number of fruits included, many of which can be surprising to people, such as pineapple have negative calories. Pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, oranges, and apples have negative calories, among many others. These types of negative calorie fruits can really help to jump start your low calorie diet.

"Zero calorie diets," another fancy name for negative calorie foods diet, are based on negative calorie veggies and negitive calorie fruit, as well. This combination of foods, when used properly as a supplemental (not main) diet, is what allows the negative calorie foods diet so effective.

When dieting, sometimes a diet gets a bad reputation for reasons that aren't entirely fair. The negative calorie foods diet has been linked before with anorexia, but this diet doesn't encourage anorexia. It encourages a diet that is heavy in these foods IN ADDITION TO a normal diet of lean meats, fruits and veggies not on the negative calorie list, and healthy carbs. This diet is not meant to be the end all be all of foods you're allowed to eat (or not).

Negative foods are a great way to jump start the diet. Replace the snickers bar with an apple. Replace a microwave burrito with a couple oranges. A cupcake with some carrot slices or other veggies. The little things can make a big difference, and even something like replacing potatoes with more diet friendly foods with negative calories can make all the difference.
